Alice Walton graduated with a BA in Economics from Trinity University in San Antonio Texas. She started her career as an equity analyst and money manager for First Commerce Corporation. Later she worked as head of investment operations at Arvest Bank Group.
In 1988, Alice Walton established an investment bank known as Llama Company where she served as chairperson, President as well as Chief Executive Officer.
Alice Walton has never participated in the Walmart operations. She spends her wealth on horse breeding and art. In 2011, Alice Walton established Crystal Bridges Museum of America Art in Arkansas with $50 million. Her art collection valued at $500 million is housed at this museum.
