AFCON 2019
AFCON 2019 is organized by Confederation of African Football (CAF). It’s 32nd edition is being held in Cairo Egypt.
The Afcon 2019 games were initially scheduled to take place in Cameroon. However, this was changed due to failure of the country to develop relevant infrastructure projects.
Cameroon had also won the previous year’s title and the last time they hosted the AFCON was in 1972.
CAF chose Egypt as the host of AFCON 2019 on 8 January 2019.
Kenya was among the countries whose bid was rejected as a result of failure to construct infrastructure projects such as stadia which had been promised by Jubilee Party .
