AFC Leopards forward Mark Makwatta today claimed the SJAK/LG player of the month award.
Mark Makwatta beat teammate Ochan Benjamin and Gor Mahia midfielder Kenneth Muguna to the award. Makwatta urged the fans to rally behind the financially struggling Ingwe and decared his readiness to help the national team to qualify for the 2021 African Cup of Nations. Kenya will play qualifiers against Togo and Egypt next Month.
Makwatta scored two goals in the 2-1 win over Sofapaka last weekend
Makwatta is making a return to the KPL since winning the golden boot in 2016. He has spent the past two years at Zambian Club Buildcon and in Kuwait. He becomes the first AFC Leopards player to bag the award.
