Bournemouth goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has confirmed he tested positive for coronavirus.
In the second wave of tests carried out in the Premier League last week, 996 players and club staff were tested for Covid-19, and two individuals tested positive.
6 individuals tested positive in the first round of tests.
The other individual at a different club has not been named.
Ramsdale, 22, told the Sun he was asymptomatic.
He is expected to self-isolate for a week.
‘’It’s definitely a shock. I’ve not been in contact with anybody and I’ve now got it,’’ Said the England Under-21 international.
Ramsdale tested negative in the first round of tests in the Premier League.
‘’When you know you haven’t had it, and you’ve just been following the rules and only gone to the shop, that was obviously scary at first.’’
