Today is 13 February. The eve of Valentines Day. This Valentines you don’t have to purchase red flowers for your loved ones. Nor do you’ve to wear red as others do. I reached this conclusion after assessing the situation on the ground.
This morning I took a taxi from Naivasha town to Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge. My taxi driver confided in me that buying flowers for her woman is a waste of money. They’ve a better way of celebrating their love on Feb 14. Instead of spending money on flowers, they take time to visit great places like the beach at Lake Naivasha and many other interesting places and spent the money meant for flowers on fish and other delicacies.
This is a wake up call for the ‘boy child,’ take your time and assess the situation before you settle on a way to celebrate this Valentines Day.
