Belarusian bodybuilder Illia ‘Golem’ Yefimchyk has died aged 36. He was better known as the Mutant.
He ate seven times a day consuming 16,500 calories in the process which included 2.5 kilograms of steak and 108 pieces of sushi.
The Mutant was 6 feet 1 inch tall. On September 6 he is alleged to have suffered a heart attack while at home.
The Mutant was flown to hospital using an helicopter.
‘I spent every day by his side, hoping, and his heart started beating again for two days, but the doctor gave me the terrible news that his brain had died,’ said his wife Anna.
The Mutant’s death was confirmed on September 11. He was able to lift 317 kilograms of weight at his peak.
