Sharing is Caring

ICC Registry website has been launched. Over 300 cases of conservation by indigenous peoples and local communities have been reported on publicly accessible online portal known as ICCA Registry.

This is a proof that indigenous peoples and local communities given a chance can be the best in conservation efforts. Hence, no effort to evict them from their ancestral lands.

The project is lead by United Nations Environmental Program World Conservation monitoring center and their partners. Together they have documented 311,779 square kilometers of land that is conserved by local communities and indigenous peoples around the world involving 320,465 people.
