The White House has announced that that Joe Biden has ordered the military to shoot down what he called a Alaska high altitude object on Feb 10.
Alaska high altitude object was being tracked by the Department of Defense for at least 24 hours before the president made the announcement.
Alaska high altitude object in question was flying at an altitude of 40,000 feet and was a threat to safety. The Pentagon was taking a lot caution hence they implemented the order. The strange object was shot down using a fighter jet assigned to US Northern Command.
This has happened just days after the US fighter jets shot down another object flying over US airspace. The previous object was said to be a Chinese spying balloon. The balloon was shot and debris fell into the Atlantic Ocean.
The USA government sent some fighter jets which surveyed around it and discovered that it was unmanned and then ordered that it be shot down.
The authorities were not referring to the object as a balloon and they have not attributed it to China or any other organization.
The authorities have plans to recover debris of Alaska high altitude object for further investigations.
