Aisha Jumwa defeated by Mun’garo in Kilifi gubernatorial seat.

Aisha Jumwa was floored by Gideon Mung’aro in the race to win the governor’s seat in Kilifi.

Mung’aro was running under Orange Democtatic Movement (ODM) ticket while Aisha Jumwa running on United Democratic Alliance ticket (UDA).

Gideon Mung’aro clinched into governorship after garnering 143,773 vote. He was followed by his opponent Aisha Jumwa with 65,893 votes.

Other candidates interested in the Kilifi governorship include; George Kithi (Pamoja Africa Alliance), Michael Jefwa (Ford-Kenya), Franco Esposito (independent), Alponce Dzombo (Safina) and David Noti (Umoja Summit Party).
