A single-engine aircraft (Piper PA-46) was preparing to land when it collided with another single-engine aircraft (Cessna 172). This was according to FAA spokesperson Eva Lee Ngai in a statement.
“The Piper crashed into in a field east of Runway 30-Right and the Cessna fell into a water retention pond,” she said.
Eva said that the planes collided in the traffic pattern associated with the airport run by the Government of Clark County, Nevada.
It is believed that The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate with the help of the FAA on the cause of the collision of the two single-engine planes.
The Cessna and the Piper PA-46 had two passengers on board and left no survivor after the collision.
