Indonesian President Joko Widodo is popularly known as Jokowi. He is the 7th and current president of Indonesia.
Indonesian President Joko Widodo was formerly a businessman and an industrialist, her later served as mayor of Surakarta and then a governor of Jakarta.
While working as mayor of Surakarta he make a habit of making unannounced spot checks. Indonesian President Joko Widodo introduced programs which improved quality of life, introduced universal healthcare coverage, dredged the city’s main river to reduce flooding and constructed a sub-way system to serve the city residents.
In 2014, Indonesian President Joko Widodo won the elections with a landslide. His major opponent, Prabowo Subianto, protested the win by Jokowi.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo started his primary education at State Elementary School 111 Tirtoyoso. Later he joined State Junior High School 1 Surakarta. He did not perform well in his entrance exams hence he failed to secure admission to his desired school – State Senior High School 1 Surakarta.
Career
After graduating from University, Jokowi, worked as a supervisor of forestry and raw materials at Bener Meriah Regency between 1986 – 1988.
Later Indonesian President Joko Widodo resigned and return to his home to work at a family furniture business. He later registered his own company known as Rakabu which focused on teak furniture. In 1991, the company started exporting their products and became successful in the international markets.
In 2018, Indonesian President Joko Widodo reported his net-worth at $3.5 billion. Most of his wealth comes from properties in Java and Jakarta.
