Prof. Kithure Kindiki, the Senator for Tharaka Nithi County called a press conference after missing the Deputy President appointment.
He told journalists that he will be taking a break from politics. The professor has so far served as Senator for the last 10 years. He is now taking a break to focus on other personal engagements such as running his own law firm and consulting for his party- UDA.
Kindiki served as a majority leader and a deputy speaker at the Senate. He was later thrown out of those positions by Jubilee Party.
