On Monday May 2, a jury gave a sweeping win to the Kardashian family in Blac Chyna vs Kardashian case.
Blac Chyna is a model, an influencer and an ex-fiance of Rob Kardashian. Together with Rob, they sired a daughter, 5, known as Dream.
She claimed that the family ruined her reality TV career.
In 2016, “Rob & Chyna” was aired for one season at E! The show was at the centre of the said lawsuit.
She said that the show was cancelled after the family told producers that Chyna violently attacked Rob in December 2016.
The trial took nine days and a jury was deliberated for 2 days and the ruling made that Kris Jenner, 66, Khloe Kardashian, 37 and Kylie Jenner, 24 never defamed Blac Chyna and did not interfere with her contract by persuading E! network to cancel her show – “Rob & Chyna.”
The four defendants from Kardashian family attended nearly the whole trial but when the verdict was read they were all in New York at the Met Gala.
The jury did not award Chyna any damages.
For the 10 days when the case was heard Chyna provided her evidence in form of emails and text messages which portrayed Chyna negatively to E!
The family was saying that they will stop filming the “Keeping Up With he Kardashians,” if Chyna is involved.
Kris Jenner testified and said that she did not have the power to “influence” the network on any cancellation.
Chyna sued the whole family over claims of domestic violence, defamation, battery, assault and interference with prospective economic relations.
The Kardashian family responded by instituting their own lawsuit where they claimed that Chyna is the one who attacked Rob Kardashian.
The family’s lawyer, Michael G. Rhodes, argued that her claims “were absurd because there was no documentary evidence, economic analysis, or expert testimony that would support them.”
The judge made a decision to throw out Chyna’s claims against the Kardashian.
It seems that Chyna is not yet done with the family. She has another revenge-porn case lined up against Rob. She claims that Rob distributed her private nude photos on his Instagram which has over 9 million followers.
She further states that those nude photos went viral and were viewed by hundreds of millions of people causing her emotional distress and humiliation.
Rob denies that he posted the photos without Chyna’s consent.
