The prominent Eldoret businessman, Mr. Jackson Kibor is dead.
He died at St. Luke’s Hospital in Eldoret while undergoing treatment.
Jackson Kibor owned 4,000 acres of land and other property in Eldoret and the larger Rift Valley.
He shot into fame for his divorce cases, for instance he divorced Josephine Jepkoech his wife for half a century.
Jackson Kibor was nicknamed the chairman of men’s conference – an imaginary gathering of men who do not value Valentine’s Day.
Mzee Jackson Kibor bought 1,200 acres of land at Kipkabus in Uasin Gishu in 1963.
He bought 357 acres of land named Mafuta farm near Moiben and 2,000 acres of Soy farm acquired in 1969.
Again in 1969 Kibor acquired 1,543 acres of land in Kabenes for Ksh. 220,000.
He further purchased 1,160 acres of land at a cost of Ksh. 1.5 million in Kitale where he reared 500 Frisian cows.

Jackson Kibor owned numerous off-road vehicles such as a Land Cruiser Pick-up and Land Cruiser V8 Sports Utility Vehicle. In addition to that he owned six Mercedes Benz S and C class.
Jackson Kibor dropped out of school in class 5 due to lack of school fees.
