Working from home had been a norm since Corona struck the world.
In this article I share my experience of nearly two years working from home.
It has been very exciting to say the least. The journey started in earnest on November 2019.
My initial worries about working from home was on how to have access stable internet every single day.
I conduct an online research of all the existing telecommunication companies and their internet services.
At the back of my mind I knew Safaricom had the strongest mobile signal.
So I settled on the internet service provider despite being relatively expensive when compared to Airtel and Telekom – formerly Orange. The later was our daring internet service provider when we were in college. It was friendly to our pockets because we were spending Ksh 50 per week.
Safaricom agents informed me that there were various products available.
I settled on the Safaricom for Business which had a bundle for Ksh. 5500 and Ksh. 3,000. In the last two years the cost has increased slightly due to new tax on airtime in Kenya.
My use of the Ksh. 5000 bundle has been without much problems. Access to internet from my house had been like a walk in the park.
