The Ironman committed suicide by hanging himself in his prison cell following his admission to sexual exploitation of a child. Travis Fulton, 44, was found unresponsive in his cell in Linn County Jail, Iowa, USA on Saturday, 10 July 2021.
Staff attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) before rushing him to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Fulton was arrested in February and has been in jail since then. According to the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports, in once case Fulton invited a 13-year old girl to meditate with him and during the process took off all her clothes except the underwear and had sex with her.
Fulton admitted the meditation but denied ever touching the girl. Later, he agreed to plead guilty to sexually exploiting a child below the age of 18 and being in possession of child abuse photographs. His death is being investigated and an autopsy will be performed.
