A 28-year-old man in New Delhi has staged his own abduction in order to get an equivalent of Ksh. 3.6 million from his parents to pay off debts.
The man is also reported to be in a relationship with a colleague’s wife which is part of the conspiracy.
The man was last seen at Oyo hotel in Rohini section 22 where he had gone to attend a party.
The Deputy Commissioner of police informed media that a woman contacted the victim’s parents informing them that their son was in a debt trap and needed an equivalent of Ksh. 3.6 million immediately to settle his debts.
