Former South African President Jacob Zuma, 79, was recently sentenced to to be jailed for 15 months for contempt of court.
If the deadline for him to surrender to the police elapsed, Zuma woul be jailed at Westville Prison (200 kilometres from Nkandla) in southeastern Kwa-Zulu Natal province.
A group of supporters arrived in two buses wearing t-shirts and waving ANC flags with inscription “What has Zuma done?”
