Sharing is Caring

Submarine that disappeared in Indonesia known as KRI Naggala 40 ran out of supply on Saturday. The submarine was participating in a topedo drill in waters 60 miles north of the Island of Bali.

The navy had previously reported that the submarine had experienced an electrical failure which made it impossible to resurface through use of emergency procedures.

The submarine that disappeared was built in Germany and it was powered using diesel. It had been in service in Indonesia since 1981. It was still sea worthy.

President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, described the sailors as Indonesia’s “best patriots.”

Australia, USA, Malaysia and India were some of the countries participating in the search for the submarine.

The submarine was one of the five in Indonesia’s fleet.
