Marwa Elsehehdar, 29, the first female ships Captain in Egypt was wrongly blamed for blockage of the Suez Canal.
However, at the time of the blockage of Suez Canal she was miles away in Alexandria.
The Ever Given Ship was stuck across the Suez Canal causing a ship traffic snarl up and losses.
The Ever Given was en-route to a lighthouse in the Red Sea to run supplies missions when it got stuck across the Suez Canal in Egypt.
The wrong blame has been associated to fake news.
It can be recalled that Marwa was the only female out of the 1,200 who graduated out of AASTMT.
“My message to females who want to be in the maritime field is fight for what you love and not let any negativity to affect you,” said Marwa.
