Companies in Spain are conducting trials with a 4-day work week and pundits are wondering whether this will be the norm post-pandemic. 

John Maynard Keynes, a leading British economist argued that with increasing efficiency will lead to setting up more leisure time in developed countries. 

 

This is not a new concept because already there are dozens of companies and one Municipal authority working 4 days a week. 

Microsoft Japan and Delsol are some of the corporations working four-day weeks. Shopify in Canada and Unilever in New Zealand are also conducting trials. 

At the Danish town of Odsherred, employees work from Monday to Thursday. The council encourages employees to work from home or from the train while travelling so long as they clock 35 hours.
