On 9 December Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Mohamed and Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenya inaugurated the Moyale One Stop Border Post and the 500 kilometers Hawassa-Hagere Mariam -Moyale road.
The Hawassa-Hagere Mariam -Moyale road is made of asphalt and it is the Ethiopia component of the Cape- Cairo Trans – Africa highway. The road is meant to improve the Kenya-Ethiopia trade ties.
