There has been a lot of ethnic conflicts in Ethiopia with local violent Oromo youth group commonly known as “Qeerroo” attacking people, burning houses and motor vehicles belonging to the Amhara people.
So far, it is estimated that 300 vehicles were burnt in Oromia and an additional 30 were destroyed in the Capital City Addis Ababa.
At least 57 houses and properties belonging to the Amhara people were burnt down in the ethnic conflicts in Ethiopia. However, most of the properties owned by the Oromo were left alone during the violent attacks.
Other affected regions include Tigray, Addis Ababa and Somali region.
