A total of 2,065 health workers test positive for Covid-19 in Ghana according yo the Ghana Health Service.
According to the Director-General Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, 6 of the health workers who had been infected have died and 1,870 have recovered.
The rest are receiving treatment in various isolation centers.
The Accra region has reported a high number of infections of health workers test positive for Covid-19. The health authorities in the country have promised Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to health facilities to reduce infections among the health workers.
About 26,000 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Ghana, with the virus claiming 139 lives.
The West African country has conducted over 339,000 coronavirus tests.
