David De Gea moved past Peter Schmeichel on Thursday to become the most capped foreign player for the club.
The Spanish stopper made his 399th appearance for the club as the Red Devils travelled to Villa Park in the Premier League.
It saw De Gea, who joined United from Atletico Madrid in 2011, move beyond legendary goalkeeper Schmeichel in the club’s all-time list.
The 29-year-old remains a long way behind Ryan Giggs, who made the most appearances in a United shirt.
The Welshman made 963 appearances in the 23 years he stayed at the club.
