Forward Edison Cavani and defender Thomas Meunier have declined to sign short-term contract extensions at PSG to allow them play Cup finals and the remaining Champions League games.
Cavani and Menier’s contracts are to expire at the end June.
Last week, Paris Saint-Germain sports director Leonardo confirmed that defender Thiago Silva and striker Edison Cavani will not be offered new contracts but was hoping to keep the players for the remainder of the Champions League campaign.
The French Ligue one season was cancelled in April due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The coronavirus pandemic led to European competitions being suspended and UEFA changing the Champions League and the Europa League format. Other domestic league seasons will finish in July, with most player’s contracts expiring at the end of June.
