8 individuals have tested positive for Covid-19 in the latest round of tests conducted in the Championship.
A total of 2,213 tests were carried out on players and club staff across all the 24 clubs in the division.
All the positive results came from 6 clubs.
An EFL statement issued on Wednesday read: ‘’Those players and club staff who have tested positive will now self-isolate in line with guidelines provided by the EFL.
‘’Only those who have tested negative will be permitted to enter training ground facilities.’’
The Championship will resume on Saturday. Any person who tested positive will have to miss the first batch of matches.
