The Serie A will allow teams to make five substitutions during matches for the remainder of 2019/2020 season.
International Football Association Board (IFAB) introduced the law amendment last month to take care of players’ welfare.
The rule-making body made the alterations to ease the strain on players returning to action following a hiatus caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Many games are expected to be played in a condensed period.
Each team will be allowed to make five changes but it will only have three opportunities to do so. This is aimed at reducing disruption to the game.
The Italian Serie A is set to resume on June 20, more than 3 months after the League was suspended due to Covid-19 pandemic.
