Zimbabwe government has classified sports into 3 categories – low risk, medium and high risk. The low risk sports can be participated with immediate effect.
Golf, tennis, athletics, Horse racing and Motorsport are now permitted in Zimbabwe as they are classified as being ‘low risk’.
The low risk sports can go on once all the competitors are tested.
Sporting events in Zimbabwe were suspended in March due to the global coronavirus pandemic.
The list low-risk sports is: archery, cycling, golf, gymnastics, chess, swimming, athletics, rowing, drafts, equestrian events, fencing, motorsports, shooting, BMX, tennis, pool and darts.
Not more than 50 spectators will be allowed to attend the events. They’ll however have to be screened on arrival.
