Erling Haaland matched a Bundesliga record with his goal in Borussia Dortmund’s 4-0 win over rivals Schalke 04 as the Bundesliga returned to action on Saturday.
The 19-year-old Norway International steered home Thorgan Hazard’s cross in the 29th Minute to score the first goal since Germany’s top flight was suspended due to coronavirus pandemic.
It was his 13th goal in 12 appearances in all competitions since joining Dortmund in January, making him only the second Bundesliga player to achieve that feat after Klaus Matischak for Schalke 04 in 1963-64.
Haaland has scored 10 goals in 9 Bundesliga games. Only Gert Dorfel and Paco Alacer were able to score that many in fewer games (both 8 games).
