Premier League players and managers who are out of England due the Coronavirus outbreak could face 14 days mandatory self-isolation when they return for the resumption of the Premier League.
The FA suspended all football activities in England in March due to the Covid- 19 outbreak and the British government’s lockdown measures will be in place until at least May 7th.
The Premier League is aiming to resume in June and the Times Newspaper has reported that foreign players and managers returning to England will be required to self-isolate as part of the steps to combat the spread of the deadly virus.
The paper reported that several players and managers from various teams could be affected.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is in Spain following the death of his mother this month, while up to 8 Manchester City players are in their home countries.
Norwich City boss Daniel Farke and Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuettl and some players from their teams are out of the country.
Tottenham Hotspurs striker Son Heung-Min began a mandatory military service in his native country South Korea on April 20th.
Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo and his coaching staff are in Portugal while up to 5 Wolves players are not in England.
West Ham United, Arsenal and Brighton and Hove Albion have already opened their training grounds for individual training sessions as they prepare for the return.
