Olympiacos and Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis, 52, has been disgnosed with the deadly coronavirus.
Marinakis was at the City’s ground to watch Forest’s England Championship game against Milwall on Friday last week.
He was diagnosed on his return to Greece.
‘’Mr Marinakis was diagnosed after showing the first symptoms on his return to Greece.‘’Said Nottingham Forest.
‘’During his stay in Nottingham he did not show any symptoms of the virus. The club is seeking advice from the medical professionals and all the relevant governing bodies to ensure the correct measures are taken.’’
Mr Marinakis took to social media earlier and revealed that he had tested positive for the virus.
‘’The recent virus has ‘visited’ me and I felt obliged to let the public know. I feel good as I take all the necessary measures and I discipline to the doctors Instructions.’’ Said Marinakis in an Instagram post.
Greek Club Olympiacos is set to play Wolverhampton Wanderers on Thursday in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday in the UEFA Europa League.
UEFA had earlier rejected Wolves request to postpone the game amid concerns of the spread of coronavirus.
Arsenal’s rescheduled match against Manchester City on Wednesday night has been postponed after it emerged that a number of Gunners personnel had come into contact with Marinakis.
