Borussia Dortmund teenager Gio Reyna became the youngest ever scorer in the DFB Pokal history on Tuesday.
The 17-year old American scored the second goal as Dortmund bowed out of the competition following a 3-2 loss to Werder Bremen.
He came on as a substitute in the second half, received the ball outside the penalty area and weaved past two Werder Bremen players before curling a shot in the top-corner of the net.
‘’The first half performance was poor. We were lacking tempo in our play. We seemed to be late to every ball and come out worse in every tackle.’’ Said Dortmund Coach Lucien Favre.
‘’Getting knocked out is very disappointing for all of us. It’s a real shame. We had three of or four chances towards the end and could have ended up achieving our objective.’’ He added.
