The Cabinet Secretary for treasury has reported that the One Stop Boarder Point in Moyale is under-utilized and called upon residents of Upper Eastern region use it more often for trade.
In my own observation, the fact that the boarder post is not being used is a signal that it was established without being informed by results of a feasibility study.
This is a wake up call for policy makers to always use evidence and ensure all stakeholders are properly engaged before a decision is made to invest public resources.
