Juventus beat Napoli 4-3
Juventus beat Napoli 4-3 in a Serie A match that was played yesterday at the Allianz Stadium. The match attracted over 39000 fans.
Juventus opened the scoring through new signing Danilo in the 16th minute. Gonzalo Higuain doubled the lead in the 19th minute and the game headed into halftime with juventus 2-0 up. Cristiano Ronaldo scored the third goal in the 62nd minute being his first goal of the season.
Napoli manager reacted at Halftime by introducing Mario Rui and new signing Hirving Lozano.
Napoli cameback from 3-0 down to 3-3 courtesy of Kostas Manolas, Hirving Lozano and Giovanni Di Lorenzo in the 66th, 68th and 81st minute respectively. However, Napoli’s Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly scored an own goal in stoppage time to gift the hosts 3 points.
Juventus Manager Maurizio Sarri was denied a chance to reunite with his former club Napoli as he sat in a section of the Stadium to watch as he recovers from Pneumonia.
Juventus will face Fiorentina in their next Serie A match that will played at Stadio Artemio Franchi on 15th September 2019 after the international break.
Napoli will host Sampdoria at Stadio San Paolo in their next Serie A match on 15th of September 2019.
The win places Juventus on top of the Serie A table with 6 points and Napoli 8th with 3 points.
