America’s Defense budget is mind boggling!!!
The Trump Administration is requesting for a $750 billion budget for Pentagon. This is a massive budget by all means.
If passed, America’s military budget will the largest ever. It will be bigger than the country’s budget during the Vietnam War for instance.
Public Finance analyst say that there are at least 10 different source of money for the US military. These resources are used for funding wars across the globe.

Approximately, $9.6 billion goes towards military retirement expenditures.
The base budget for US Military is $554.1 billion.
The War Budget to fight terror in Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Africa and across Middle East will be allocated a total of $173.8 billion.
The 2020 war budget is reported to include a total of $9.2 billion for building the U.S. –Mexico border wall which is a pet project for President Donald Trump.
The U.S. Department of Energy is the home where the world’s most dangerous weapons are manufactured. That is: nuclear war heads. There is a network of facilities where these nuclear warheads are produced: South Carolina, Livermore, Savannah River, California, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Los Alamos, Missouri, Oak Ridge, Kansas City and Tennessee. The U.S. nuclear budget will be allocated $24.8 billion in 2020.
FBI
The FBI and other security related agencies are allocated a budget of $9 billion.
America’s 2.7 million war veterans have a proposed budget named Veterans Affairs Budget to help the former military personnel deal with their mental and physical wounds. They have a proposed budget of $216 billion.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
The DHS is a mammoth organization which was formed after the 9/11 attacks. It was formed by merging 22 state agencies. The DHS is said to currently have over 250,000 employees.
The Coast Guard, Customs and Boarder Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Secret Service, Citizenship and Immigration Services, Domestic Nuclear Detection and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center are not part of the DHS.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has a proposed budget of $69.2 billion.
The 2020 budget proposals will see a 1/3 budget cut for International Affairs budget which is responsible for U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
Intelligence Budget
The United States of America has 17 separate intelligence agencies. These agencies include: the CIA, Bureau of Intelligence and Research, National Security Agency and Drug Enforcement Agency among others.
Over $80 billion is spend by the 17 intelligence agencies across America.
William D. Hartung writing for Mises Wires notes that most of the Pentagon budget is “wasted, misguided, or simply counterproductive.”
The beneficiaries of the Pentagon budget are Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin and Boeing among other defense contractors in the U.S.
