The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chair Wafula Chebukati cited the voter turnout on Tuesday 9th General election was 64.6 percent.
This was a representation of 14,164,561 out of 22,120,448 of registered voters.
But the percentage was exclusive of the manual register. He outlined the task of compiling all the voters in all the platforms is on the process and the total number of voter turnout will be announced later.

“We have areas where the commission allowed the use of manual registers and we shall be able to give the exact voter turnout when the data is transmitted and compute the total voter turnout,” he said.
Chebukati assured the commission is transparent in the whole process and later the presidential winner will be announced.
