Taita Taveta is becoming more innovative when it comes to collection of local revenue. The county assembly is formulating a policy on this matter and it is being supported by Governor Samboja. The levy on Public Service Vehicles (PSVs) will be mandatory.
Taita Taveta collected Ksh. 172 million from own sources in the previous financial year. The county government also wants to be receiving portions of revenues collected by the Kenya Wildlife Service.
