Bonyunyu Residents call for Processing of title deeds to facilitate compensation

Bonyunyu residents area, where a dam that is to cost Ksh5.8 billion is to be built have asked the government to process their title deeds. Most of the residents are afraid of losing their land when the works commence in August as they say the process of securing the document is slow. Nyamira County Commissioner Isaiah Nakoru asked the residents to ensure they had the document before the construction of the dam begun. He said the dam would address water shortages and create jobs in the region. – Daily nation newspaper

It seems finally the people of Bonyunyu in Masaba Constituency, Nyamira County have accepted the development project. It’s now upon the state to make sure that justice is done. A smooth compensation should be done to all land owners.

The residents should also call for proper valuation of their land and property on it.
