Most of the residents are afraid of losing their land when the works commence in August as they say the process of securing the document is slow. Nyamira County Commissioner Isaiah Nakoru asked the residents to ensure they had the document before the construction of the dam begun. It seems finally the people of Bonyunyu in Masaba Constituency, Nyamira County have accepted the development project. It’s now upon the state to make sure that justice is done. A smooth compensation should be done to all land owners.
The residents should also call for proper valuation of their land and property on it.
