Elon Musk’s company Tesla Inc. has announced that they will be producing 10,000 Model 3 cars per week by end of 2018.
This decision has been reached in order to satisfy the existing demand. Industry analysts have pointed out that the barrier will be unavailability of enough resources to pursue that goal.
Here is what is special about Model 3:
- It takes 2.5 seconds to reach its 0-60 mph potential
- when switched into Ludicrous Mode, it gains more power and torque
It’s estimated that an excess of 500,000 car enthusiasts have placed orders for the Model 3 Tesla cars. These orders are accompanied by a deposit of USD$1,000. This means that there is a heap of pre-orders.
Already, there are many satisfied customers out there. One of them tweeted Tesla and Elon Musk responded as shown below:
Model 3 is a powerful car. No wonder it’s in high demand.
The starting price for this super car has been pegged at USD $ 49,000. This is an equivalent of Ksh. 4,900,000. This is like buying a Toyota Prado or a Benz in Kenya.
