Today, Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i released the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams leaving many people on the wrong foot. There were just 141 straight A’s in 2016 compared to last year’s 2,636 A’s. At Kerosi Dotcom we applaud the efforts being displayed by CS Matiang’i to sanitize the education sector in Kenya. Examination cheating has been a norm for many years. This had redeemed the reputation and image of Kenya’s education system. Now, there is light at the end of the tunnel!!!
Below is a sample of what people said on twitter about the 2016 KCSE results:
Paul August believes that these 141 As are true and authentic compared to the previous ones.
Ng’ang’a The Blogger was seeking some clarifications on the above matter which he referred to as “monkey business.”
The issue of boy and girl child featured prominently. A number of social media users saw the inequality and called for action.
The conversations on Twitter would not be complete without looking at both sides of the coin. Mr. Robert Alai, a popular and fearless blogger, pointed out some weaknesses on the side of CS Fred Matiang’i. There were errors which have remained unresolved!!!
