The workshop has commenced at Strathmore University Law School with the objective of seeking ways of ensuring that that people living with disabilities effectively participate in policy formulation, implementation and oversight processes in Kenya.
This social lab is part of a two-year project which is being implemented by Strathmore University Law School, the persons with Disabilities Association of Kitui and the Agency for Disability and Development in Africa (ADDA).
The main project objectives is to develop and pilot a Public Participation Disability Inclusion Index for public entities in Kenya.
The project will be implemented in Nairobi, Kwale, Kajiado, Kitui and Makueni.
